Dr. Ashwinie Kumar Bansal, LL.B., F.C.S., Ph.D. is an Arbitration Expert and Advocate practicing in the Supreme Court, Punjab and Haryana High Court, and other courts. He was enrolled as an advocate at Chandigarh in 1987 and he had acquired immense experience in Arbitration, Civil, Corporate, and Commercial Laws, including Construction, Procurement and Supply Contracts, Tenders and Contracts, Cyber Laws, IPR, Trademarks, Patent, Designs and Copyright, etc. He has a wide experience in dispute resolution procedures, covering domestic and international arbitration.
He is widely known an architect of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 as he had drafted and proposed the New Arbitration Bill and repealing of old Arbitration Act, 1940 in 1994 on consideration of which he was invited as a distinguished Arbitration Expert by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India in the committee for drafting the Arbitration Bill, 1995 and he had made significant contributions to it. He has written 10 books on arbitration and other laws. He is a founder member of International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, member of the Supreme Court Bar Association and member of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association.
Rashmie Bansal, MA, LLB is an expert in amicable dispute resolution having undertaken an extensive Arbitration and ADR training financed by the Asian Development Bank and the ICADR presented by the Pepperdine university, California, U.S.A. under the aegis of the Ministry of Law & justice, Government of India at New Delhi in 1996-97. She is an advocate enrolled at Delhi.
